What I did
- Ran WeChat Official Account + Xiaohongshu operations for AIGS (the Asian Institute of Gemological Sciences, one of the most established gem labs in Asia).
- Designed and shipped a WeChat mini-program: scan the QR on any AIGS certificate, land directly inside WeChat, confirm authenticity in two taps. No app download, no browser hand-off.
- Wrote the copy and visual system that tied the official accounts to the mini-program's entry points.
Why this matters
This is the v1 of the certificate verification idea. It solved the basic problem — *can a user verify a stone in WeChat?* — but it stopped at the moment of confirmation. There was no interpretation layer, no conversion path, no analytics. It was a stamp, not a doorway.
That gap is exactly what the GUILD Certificate Intelligence Ecosystem (built later, at GUILD) was designed to close. The mini-program taught me that a QR code is the highest-intent moment in the industry. The ecosystem taught me what to do with that moment.
